This course provides learners with the practical skills and technical knowledge required to work safely and effectively in the electrical installation and maintenance field. It builds on basic electrical concepts and introduces more advanced techniques used in domestic and light commercial environments. Trainees will learn how to install, test, and maintain electrical wiring systems, including lighting circuits, socket outlets, distribution boards, and protective devices. The course also covers reading electrical drawings, selecting appropriate tools and materials, and following standard wiring regulations. A strong emphasis is placed on safety practices, including hazard identification, safe isolation procedures, and compliance with electrical codes. Learners will gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting faults and performing routine maintenance tasks. By the end of Level 2, participants will be prepared for entry-level employment as electrical technicians or apprentices, with the confidence to carry out installations and basic maintenance work under supervision.
